QUANG NAM – Following the success of the first An Bang Beach Food & Music Festival, which took place on July 18 at the renowned An Bang Beach in Hoi An City, attracting thousands of local and foreign guests alike, the authorities are now mooting organizing the event every month.
“It was amazing to see thousands of foreigners living here participating in the festival. That means they need a fantastic playground after many days of being cooped up indoors due to the coronavirus outbreak,” said Le Ngoc Thuan, the organizer. Thuan added that he would call for cooperation among partners to organize the event every month, thus introducing a new entertainment product for tourists visiting Hoi An City.
Thuan, owner of Shore Club and Deck’s House An Bang Beach Restaurant, worked with more than 20 partners to set up booths offering cuisines from around the world, local craft beers and world-class cocktails to guests at the festival. Guests also enjoyed live and DJ music, fire dancers, hip hop dances, etc.
Stating that many tourists think Hoi An is famous only for its ancient villages, houses and heritage, Thuan admitted that very few know about its beautiful beaches such as Ha My, An Bang and Cua Dai. “We hope the festival will attract more guests to the beaches and especially to Hoi An,” he noted.
The Saigon Times, too, participated in the festival and took some pictures from the afternoon to the late evening.
